As the director of Austin's South By Southwest Interactive event, a high-profile component of the sprawling SXSW festival that is about to literally smother Austin's downtown core for its annual 10-day run starting Friday, he's been irked by all the headlines about how SXSW is getting smaller now that the city has cut back on special events permits. In a lengthy recent interview in his downtown office across the street from the Whole Foods Market Inc. headquarters, Forrest made this point several times: he wants the world to know that while there may be fewer freebie events this year, SXSW itself is going to be bigger.
