Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profile described below to deploy in ESTEC Please submit applications not later than 100613 by EMAIL to Mr. Massimiliano Mazza, Head of Engineering services Satellite Operations M.Mazzavitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com Job Overview o Providing technical support for interpretation of safety requirements, and for impact evaluation of newrevised requirements. o Assess flight and ground safety analyses and safety compliance data packages prepared by industrial contractors, experimenters, agencies and commercial companies and provide detailed written feedback. o Providing written technical assessment of payloadcargo design and operation respect to special problem areas and possible suitable alternate solution. o Tracking implementation of safety verification identified in Hazard Reports. o Preparing and support payloads and cargo safety reviews, including consolidation of initial findings from technical discipline experts and functional areas representatives. o Processing cargo safety certificates and attached supporting documentation prepared by cargo providers for upload, download and disposal. o Perform safetyengineering support to the preparation of parabolic flight campaigns o Assessing adequacy and status of responses to Action Items assigning during safety reviews, in coordination with nominated experts. o Providing instructionstechnical assistance to ESA projects, contractors and other European Payload Organization PO in preparation for their presentation to formal safety reviews and technical meetings. o Support audits of ESAPSRP processes implementation and provide support for implementation of corrective actions. o Data entry into NASAESA online data bases trackingarchiving of formal safety documents released and approved by the ESA PSRP o Prepare minutes of all formal safety meetings and ensure their receipt, approval and distribution o Liaise with counterparts to ensure that safety data packages are received on time at ESTEC, and ensure their internal distribution to ESA safety review panel members and technical support o Processing cargo safety certificates for cargo disposal and attached supporting documentation prepared by cargo providers. Specific Requirements The Safety Engineering Support Services Contractor shall propose personnel with the qualification and experience required for the specific tasks. The Agency may request to meet with the proposed personnel, to make sure that the required tasks are fully understood and clarify the competence and experience of the proposed candidates. The cost associated to such meetings will not be borne by the Agency. The safety engineers providing safety engineering support shall have the following profiles University degree in engineering discipline Experience as member of the ISS PSRPSRP Knowledge of the ISS environment for scientific payloads Knowledge of the ISS systems and subsystems Proficiency in the ISS and ATV safety requirements Proficiency in the ISS and ATV safety reviews processes Knowledge of the scientific payloads development process
