For multiple projects based out of our Darmstadt offices we are seeking an IT infrastructure architect. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic environment looking to deliver state of the art infrastructure solutions for a number of major space and other clients. Tasks Your specific tasks will be determined by your assigned project manager at CGI. Currently foreseen tasks may include Specification of infrastructure solutions and services, Technical investigations and IT system road mapping, Support to major IT service Implementations, Support to Business process consultancy. Qualification With a minimum of 3 years professional experience you will be confident in managing IT infrastructure projects from inception to delivery into operations with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and German. Comfortable in a clientfacing role, you will have a keen interest in IT industry trends, maintaining a high awareness of future technologies that we can seek to offer to the benefit of our clients. You will have a demonstrated understanding of one or more of the following technical areas Server Computing infrastructure Intel x86, Oracle T4T5 with Solaris LDOMs and Unix OSes, especially Linux SLES Red Hat CentOS, Virtualisation VMware and private and public cloud infrastructures, Tools and concepts for Automation and compliance, like Chef, but also integration in cloud environments vRealize, OpenStack, Storage architectures e.g. NetApp, EMC2, Storage Area Network design and implementation including FibreChanel fabrics, Enterprise IT Backup concepts and infrastructures, Database architecture o SQL DBs MySQL, MariaDB, o NonSQL DBs, HBase and Cloudera, Thin client workspace architectures, Citrix VDI, Windows AD or Similar Cisco Networks LAN, Cisco ACI, Software Defined Networks SDN for cloud environments. WAN connectivity on basis of MPLS networks, Cisco ASA Firewalls and Security infrastructures, Enterprise level IT management infrastructure for auxiliary services, Desirable Formal qualification in project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, PMP An awareness of ITIL best practices Eligibility for security clearance CGI encourages all its employees to take an active part in the direction of the business and offers an attractive benefits package including sharepurchasing plans, employee bonus schemes and childcare support.
