You will work directly with the Sales Engineering team to develop technical and productled solutions across all vertical markets. You will support the Sales Engineering team by proposing and designing innovative solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements. You will also work closely with the SES Networks Product Design Engineering to deliver bespoke customer solutions. This role will require interaction with key stakeholders to ensure seamless handover from designimplementation to service management. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for the recommendation of network solutions to support Sales Engineering team solutions. Perform Systemnetworking Engineering design and analyses in support of complex EndtoEnd E2E communications solutionsservices and systems. Technical Lead on standard and nonstandard and quick applications to develop customerfocused, marketdriven products. Collaborate with the Network Engineering, Operations, Product Development, Implementation, and customers to develop the initial designs, drawings and cost estimate that address customer requirements. Prepare and deliver project documents to Service Management teams for implementation of the standard and nonstandard solutions. Develop and support integration, BOM generation, testing, and procedures at the component, subsystem, and system levels. Provide technical leadership to subcontractors and vendors developing MEOGEO compatible solutions for networking, Monitoring Control, and network hardware. Support Sales Sales Engineering teams in developing and documenting requirements, specifications and training materials. Develop forwardlooking architectures and designs that support the implementation of evolving MEOGEO products and capabilities. In concert with other technical resources engages with industry vendors to understand their development road maps and influence them for the benefit of the SES Networks and our customers. Support engagement with customers to understand their needs and influence those needs to SES Networks best interests. Ensure all relevant security requirements and guidelines are properly understood and appropriately implemented. Defining and implementing appropriate tools and technologies to foster a collaborative workspace for all team members. Position Reference 1008 We are currently looking for a Software Defined Radio SDR Architect. The SDR Architect will support the development of SDRs for RHEA endtoend Cyber Security Testbed for SpaceGround Communication Networks CEST Lab in Luxembourg premises. The CEST is a multifunctional testbed for demonstrating endtoend space and terrestrial communication networks established through SDRs components. The deployed SDRs will initially be prototyped and tested in a lab environment and then will be employed in commercial operations. The SDR Architect will also be responsible for implementing methods for SDR data acquisition to ensure successful testing, verification, and validation. The successful candidate in this role requires significant previous experience in designing, developing, and testing many SDRs particularly on rapid timelines. We are looking for engineers that enjoy a challenge and have a track record of creative thinking to solve unconventional problems. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Set up and operate laboratory based SDR hardwaresoftware. Responsible for design, development, and testing of all SDR software and hardware including its FPGA and host interface. Evaluating SDRs for incorporation into different space gateway, payload, enduser, and spacecraft systems andor terrestrial endtoend networks. Updating or developing Linux device drivers and host interface software to interact with the SDRs. Code the protocols, baseband processing, and MAC for SDRbased products. Developing test software and drivers to support unit, integration, and system testing of all SDR software functions.
