Main responsibilities The position is responsible for the Change and Release Management for the operation IT infrastructure at the European Space Operations Centre ESOC in Darmstadt. In addition, the Change Release Manager will act as the single point of contact for Service Continuity Planning for the operational IT. The successful candidate will be focusing hisher activities on the following. Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following Support of Transfer to Operations of new services. Maintenance of the change schedule. Chair transition boards and CABs. Liaise with all involved parties Service Design, Engineering, Operations. Plan, support and coordinate major infrastructure changes. Ensure adherence to standards and processes. Create and maintain the Release Management plan. Conduct Post Implementation Reviews. Perform Risk Management. Create regular and adhoc reports. Act as single point of contact for Service Continuity. Create and maintain the Service Continuity Plan and ensure all services have appropriate plans. Plan and coordinate Disaster Recovery tests. Act as a coordinator in case of a disaster. Ensure punctuality and accuracy of reports and statistics on all activities. Adhere to current site procedures technical, environmental, safety and security. Create and maintain accurate procedures and work instructions. Ideal candidate The successful candidate shall meet the following requirements Excellent command of English, both written and spoken German or French a plus. University degree Computer Sciences or equivalent. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically Change and Release Management, certification a plus. Project Management experience, Prince2, AgilePM or PMP certification preferred. Indepth experience with IT services in critical operational environments. Very good knowledge of current IT infrastructure technologies and trends networks, storage, virtualisation, cloud, etc.. Problem Solving aptitude. Ability to work independently selfmotivate. Excellent communication skills, convincing personality. Experience in testing disaster recovery a plus. PC literacy MS Office Pro, MS SharePoint, Lotus Notes.
