An excitng vacancy for an IT Infrastructure Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Newport. The role will require candidates with a good working knowledge of Microsoft and RHEL technologies with experience of working with VMware virtualisation platforms. The position requires experience within a similar role preferably working in secure environment such as MODGOVNATO. The IE will need to leverage their practical knowledge in implementing Microsoft and RHEL technologies within virtualised environments. The IE shall implement tasks against a work breakdown structure, for either individual standalone projects or elements of a bigger programme. The role is varied and demanding and will be a very good learning experience for people who are looking for career progression to a more senior role. The successful candidate must be proactive, diligent with a strong technical ability, and they must have skills in both presentation and customer relations both at a technical and nontechnical level. The role is primarily a handson implementation with some design work involved. On occasion you will be expected to support network engineering staff. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Infrastructure and virtualisation implementation.
