JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks IT system engineer to support the development and implementation of a Cloud Computing Platform focusing on Data Access, Processing and Tools that ingest large volume datasets Qualifications MSc software engineering or equivalent Required knowledge Solid System Integration experience in Cloud environments A good understanding of the challenges involved in handling large data volumes Basic project management skills Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as OpenStack A good understanding of storage technologies including shared block storage and object storage A good understanding of web technologies A good understanding of container technologies such as Docker A good understanding of Big Data processing technologies such as Apache Spark. Candidates must be able to work effectively in English. Desirable Knowledge Experience handling scientific data, including Cataloguing, discovery, data storage and data retrieval. WHAT DO WE OFFER?
