Illumina inks 15-year lease for massive BioMed project in Foster City

Lincoln Centre in Foster City eventually could include three lab and office buildings totaling 520,000 square feet for gene sequencing company Illumina Inc. Illumina Inc. will take 360,000 square feet of lab and office space in BioMed Realty Trust's Lincoln Centre development in Foster City with the option for another 160,000 square feet. The San Diego-based DNA sequencing technology company plans to consolidate most of its Bay Area operations - now spread between San Francisco's Mission Bay, Redwood City, Hayward and Santa Clara - at the 19-acre site off Highway 92 near the base of the San Mateo Bridge.
