Indonesia Apparel Exports in 1st Half 2015 (Country Report)

2016-04-04 13:02:09| EmergingTextiles.com

Apparel exports from Indonesia have declined in the last year, partly due to the sharp increase of minimum wages in the country. The fall of the rupiah may have supported exports but also resulted in higher material costs on the import market. Sales to the United States have relatively resisted, thanks a strong production of man-made fiber apparel, whereas shipments were sharply down to the EU. Our statistical series provide a comprehensive picture of Indonesia's textile and clothing exports and imports, per month and year, with an exhaustive review of US and EU imports per product category.
