Internship Corporate Development Project Support mf Ref SES0344 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Position Internship Context SES is the worlds leader in global satellite communications providing firstclass, worldwide broadcast and data communications. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Corporate DevelopmentGovernments Institutions GI team in a fastpaced, growing organization within a dynamic industry. The internship should start in November 2013 and last up to 9 months. Based in Luxembourg and within the frame of a project recently awarded to SES by a major European Institution, you will contribute to support tasks and other project activities, by providing assistance in the project management and related activities that will strengthen the developments of the study. Responsibilities In coordination with the Project Manager, the trainee will have the following responsibilities Assist in the planning, preparation and implementation duties of coordinating and organizing the project and related events including internal and external meetings Organizing workshops by preparing agendas, logistics and drafting presentations for use of further investigation and discussions Collect the results and follow up to ensure these are exploited in further deliverables Preparing monthly progress report Maintain and update project database to ensure all documents are properly recorded and traceable Depending on the need conduct extensive research and record data in order to substantiate certain tasks or deliverables, particularly focusing on market research and lead users of relevance. This includes the elaboration of questionnaires and analysis of the results Review the deliverables and propose improvement Interact with external partners as required Take ownership of given tasks andor Work Packages as required by the Project Manager to contribute to the project deliverables, including those with business focus The Project Support may also carry out activities on other GI projects as required. This can include but are not limited to Contribute to part of a commercial proposal Coordinate engineering effort to provide a technical solution that meets user requirements Interact with vendors to find the best suitable solution Interact with other SES departments as required Experience Qualifications Being an advanced and current student in BusinessEconomics or in a relevant technical area Strong interest in the mediatelecommunication business and technical interest in satellitespace technology Excellent analytical and judgment skills Accuracy and willingness to learn Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines Computer literate MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access, online publishing software Work independently as well as in a team Easiness to communicate at all levels Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset EU25 citizen or valid workpermit for Luxembourg.
