(Telecompaper) Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta has announced the appointment of a trio of experts to write a report on investment requirements in the country's ageing telecoms infrastructure. The three experts are telecoms industry veteran Francesco Caio, French economics professor Gerard Pogorel and Scott Marcus, former advisor to the US Federal Communications Commission. They have been tasked by Letta to deliver a report by the end of the year outlining the state of the network and investment targets that would have to be met by any owner of the network.
