Java Software Engineer for Eclipse RCP 182003 Job Description We are looking for a Java Software Engineer with focus on Eclipse RCP to join the Engineering Team in our offices in Darmstadt, Germany. Solenix is an independent and international company providing engineering and consulting services in the space market. Among our customers are space agencies like ESA and EUMETSAT. We are specialized in distributed systems and client applications, using modern technologies with a focus on high performing, robust and light solutions. You will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle in current and future projects, support our business development activities with your technical expertise, and contribute to the definition and evolution of our software products. Required Skills and Experience Proven working experience in software engineering Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle Proactive attitude with initiative and interest in challenging solutions Excellent communication skills in an international environment Fluency in English, both spoken and written particularly in technical documentation Knowledge and practical experience in the following technologies is required Java and Eclipse Rich Client Platform RCP XML DBMS, e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Maven andor Gradle Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in the following areas would be highly desirable Spring, JPA and JMS User interface design Continuous integration environments and source control management systems and their respective tools Developing in LinuxUnix environments Python and shell scripting Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 31 January 2018 Start of Work February 2018 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
