(Telecompaper) Jolla has started a fundraising drive on IndieGogo to launch its first tablet. Running version 2.0 of Jolla's Sailfish OS, the tablet will feature a 7.85-inch display, 1.8 GHz Intel processor, 2GB memory, a 2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel back camera. Within a couple hours of starting the crowdfunding campaign, Jolla sold out the initial batch of 1,000 tablets, offered for USD 189 each. It aims to deliver the first devices in May 2015. A second lot of 1,000 units is available for USD 199 each. The tablet can be shipped to the EU, Norway, Switzerland, US, India, China, Hong Kong or Russia. In total Jolla raised the USD 380,000 targeted in the tablet campaign within the first day.
