Our clients within the Space sector are in the middle of the IT Transformation. During that process our clients need leading support to ensure the introduction of modern virtualisation and cloud technologies, based on sustainable and secure architectures with high availability. If you are interested to lead the design and implementation of modern IT infrastructures within an exciting domain for our Space clients and if you bring corresponding experience from other industries, then you should continue reading. We are looking for architects, who are enthusiastic to design, build, implement and deploy modern IT systems and infrastructure solutions. Architects who are keen to technically lead our Space clients during the transformation of their IT infrastructure from legacy to virtualisation andor to cloud computing infrastructures. Join our Space teams in either Darmstadt or Bochum. With a team of highly motivated and specialized experts within an international environment, we help to develop our Space clients systems during the digital transformation. Aufgaben As a Lead Infrastructure Architect, you will work in our Space team to provide your experience to leading international and national Space organizations and corporations to boost their IT infrastructure to the next level. The exciting and diverse tasks are as follows Design and implementation of complex IT solutions in the areas of server, network, storage and virtualisation Creation of specifications for future IT infrastructure solutions and leading their planning and implementation Analysis, implementation, migration and continuous improvement of virtualised infrastructure and their corresponding service, application and underlying hardwarestack Ensure the application of relevant security requirements and directives Accompany the transformation of our clients IT infrastructure from legacy to virtualisation andor to cloud computing infrastructures Qualifikation Required qualifications to be successful in this role You have a structured and analytical approach You have a track record of leading architectures of virtualisation andor cloud infrastructure projects You are fluent in English You have very good communication skills and bring confident appearance in front of clients You bring affinity for modern technologies like cloud datacentres, virtualisation, infrastructure as code, infrastructure as a service and automation You have a track record with the VMware portfolio e.g. vSphere hypervisor, vSAN, vCenter Server, vRealize, VMware Cloud, etc. You have a degree in IT, computer science or similar Desirable qualifications Experience in IT System Engineering and relevant standards Relevant certification such as VMware Certified Design Expert VCDX, VMware Certified Professional VCP or similar Practical experience with DNS, AAAS, NTP, SMTP Fluent in German Experience in the System Engineering Standards provided by the European Cooperation for Space Standardization ECSS Does this job sound interesting to you?
