Job description ATG Europe is currently looking for a Lead Structural Engineer, specialized in satellite system engineering, to be deployed at our customers location in Munchen, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry offering solutions for satellites, complex scientific instruments and space missions. In this position, you will be working in the mechanical design department. You will be working on the design and development of sophisticated satellite instrument structures. Your responsibilities in this position include Structural design, analysis and validation of a satellite instrument structure Overall structural system engineering, to interact with the external partners for example manufacturers or testing facilities and guide internal structural engineers Structural analyses including prediction of dynamic behavior, sine, acoustic, random and shock loads, responses and stresses Microvibrations analyses and verification Support the test campaigns as well as preparation of the test predictions and derivation of notches during the test campaigns Correlation of the FEMmodels based on test results. Producing a structural analysis report Definintion of the workmanship tests as necessary Predicting the instrument optomechanical performance under to mechanical and thermal loads. Requirements A university degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering At least 5 years of structural design experience in space structures Experience in CFRP sandwich structures Expert user of structural analysis tools, especially Nastran and Hypermesh Experience in the use of VAOne vibroacousticsimulation andor Matlab Thermal design experience and optomechanical experience are an advantage Microvibrations experience as a goal is an advantage Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English German is an advantage.
