This 10-cell li-ion battery monitoring LSI, which consumes 25 µA typ and 0.1 µA typ during power down, is suited for battery protection systems in portable equipment. Along with temperature and short-circuit current detection circuits, multiple abnormality detection and protection features are standard. Two LSIs can be combined to support up 20 cells in series and up to 72 V.
