The Position We are looking for a Linux engineer to perform projectspecific adaptations of the currently deployed Linux baseline various flavours together with the Deutsche Flugsicherung. This activity falls under the area of the Linux Competence and Service Center LCSC. You will take care of upgrades of the existing Linux platforms, bringing aspects such as automated testing up to date. Furthermore you must perform compatibility checks when new generation hardware is introduced, as well as implementing all required adaptation. The positions are based in Langen Frankfurt am Main area, but Home Office in Germany is also possible to some extent. QualificationsExperience Experience of managing Linux installations Mandatory technical skills Excellent knowledge of RedHat, CentOS, SLES is a musthave. For this role the emphasis is on RH7.x Knowledge of scripting language needed for this role puppet, yaml, bash or other Shell script languages Both Puppet and Ansible are employed, you should be familiar with both Packet management under RHEL yum, rpm In addition, it is required to know about the Robot test framework Experience of the following requirements engineering tools are needed MicroFocusApplication Lifecycle Management MFALM Additional mandatory skills Fluent German and English Your ability to work on your own initiative will be called upon!
