ABOUT US The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. In this context, the Security Department proactively contributes to the fulfilment of GSA missions by providing the security expertise and support in order to 1 achieve successful security accreditation of the systems, 2 secure programmes implementation and exploitation and 3 ensure a wide, secure and sustainable use of the Public Regulated Service PRS. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Local Security Officer LSO will actively contribute to the protection of EU Classified Information EUCI in compliance with the relevant legislation by managing the overall GSA security including physical, document and personnel security. Hisher tasks and responsibilities will include the following nonexhaustive list Being responsible for the security trainingawareness briefings ensuring the provision of regular briefings to staff and newcomers, updating the briefings according to the development of the security environments Updating the security standards throughout the GSA and its sites to ensure the development of a secure environment Contributing to the establishment, maintenance and execution followup of the security procedures Developing and maintaining GSA Security Operating Procedures Coordinating Deputy LSOs at all GSA sites and unifying the approach to security aspects Managing security incidents and relevant registers, related to breaches of security and compromise of EUCI ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies1 of at least three years attested by a diploma Be a national of a Member State of the European Union Be entitled to his or her full rights as citizen Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service Meet the character requirements for the duties involved2 Have a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union3 and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union to the extent necessary for the performance of hisher duties Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post4 Application procedure For applications to be considered valid, candidates must submit an email to jobsgsa.europa.eu with a subject line SURNAMENameVacancy Reference Number which contains the Agencys approved application form Download it here httpwww.gsa.europa.eugsajobopportunities.
