Based on ARM® Cortex® M0+ MCU, SAM D21 features 48 MHz operation and integrates such features as full-speed, crystal-less USB; I2S; and timers/counters for control applications. Other elements of performance include 2.14 Coremark/MHz, single-cycle IO access, and 6- to 12-channel Event System and DMA. Drawing down to 70 µA/MHz in active mode, MCU includes peripheral set with up to 6 SERCOM modules, configurable as UART/USART, SPI, and I²C, and peripheral touch controller.
