We are currently looking for a System Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. MTG Satellite Simulator and System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In general, you will be providing support to the procurement and handling of the Operations Satellite Simulator SATSIM which is a realtime behavioural model of the space segment and of the space to ground interface, but also for system design tasks including LEOP and commissioning. In particular, the tasks will include Support to the procurement of SATSIM Operations Preparation as the SATSIM expert and system design expert Technical assistance to other teams for topics related to the satellite simulator System design related to Satellite Analysis Reporting functionalities Preparationreview of programme technical documentation Preparing and provision of training related to the satellite simulator System verification and validation before launch and commissioning Reporting, analysis and investigation of anomalies Attending at technical meetings and reviews Ensuring that the operational needs are taken into account in the design. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline Satellite Operations Simulator including its verification and validation Reference Architecture REFA for simulators as well as the SIMULUS environment Satellite Monitoring and Control functions associated with a geostationary satellite Geostationary spacecraft operations in general Operations training and simulation campaign ECSS and CCSDS standards related to TMTC MSGMTG satellites and associated system operations SCOS, Ground Segment and Operations associated with an imaging satellite Fluency in English knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
