Airbus Defence and Space is a division of Airbus Group formed by combining the business activities of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military. A vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. As the successful applicant you will join the Technology Planning department. You will support the Lead Manufacturing Engineers and work on the manufacturing of electronic payload equipment. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Defining MAIT work operations and writing MAIT documentation. Making sure the necessary qualified processes exist. Building up the manufacturing planning and cost model. Defining machine, jigs tools and their associated maintenance. Writing and validating NC programming. Defining product manufacturing metrics. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to HNC in Mechanical Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience of methods and engineering documentation is mandatory Previous experience in MAIT product and process documentation would be a strong asset. A negotiation level in English is required.
