For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently seeking an Analyst of Marine User Requirements which are initially formulated during the user consultation activities at the early stages of the definition and development of new services, supporting various application areas including Atmosphere, Land, Ocean, Climate Monitoring etc. Tasks The candidate will provide user, technical and service data requirements analyses support in the EUMETSAT RSP division for specific projects working in a team of scientists and product experts. Support the development of documented and agreed user requirements, service data requirements and service specifications in the context of Oceanography and Marine Meteorology o Support the conduct of analyses or studies to make assessments and or validations of requirements. o Support the formulation of requirements and specifications o Support the conduct of user workshops o Support other means of retrieving information from or providing information to the Marine user community. Support the development of requirement analysis methods and tools o Support the definition andor refinement of methods and or processes as developed byRSPMA Remote sensing scientists and Product Experts o Support the implementation of the above toolsmethods o Document requirement analysis methods and processes. Support the management of requirements o Support the documentation of requirements and service specifications according to the agreed templates o Support the establishment and maintenance of the traceability between the different levels of requirements and specifications. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants shall have a university degree or equivalent in Oceanography, remote sensing sciences or equivalent. Essential Experience in the collection, formulation and documentation of user and technical requirements for space based applications in Oceanography andor Marine Meteorology Knowledge of the operational applications in Oceanography andor Marine Meteorology, their benefits, current setups and stateoftheart and related future expectations. Desirable Knowledge of requirements management processes and standards Knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS. The candidate shall have excellent personal communication skills, oral and writing, enabling interaction with the Marine data scienceuserproducer Community and EUMETSAT teams. The working language for the position is English and therefore the consultants must be able to work effectively in this language.
