Local shares have a cautious start ahead of RBA minutes and Chinese GDP data, after Wall St advanced on some strong earnings results. Newcrest Mining has kept its guidance for the full year unchanged after reporting a 12 per cent fall in gold production for the September quarter due to lower grades of the precious metal and planned plant shut downs.
