Markets Surge; McDonald's Posts Lower Sales

Following the market opening Tuesday, the Dow traded up 0.46 percent to 16,474.87 while the NASDAQ surged 1.33 percent to 4,373.45. The S&P also rose, gaining 1.05 percent to 1,924.06.
