Mechanical Specialist Start date and duration Temp to perm position with a prospect of long term employment Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Mechanical Specialist for their location in Leiden, the Netherlands. With more than 300 employees, this company makes a vital contribution to the international space industry in the current operational areas of Solar Arrays, Launching Structures, and Instruments Systems. In these areas they belong to the world top. Tasks and Responsibilities In these projects you contribute by performing analyses, specification, design and verification of our products, subsystems and components. As well as being responsible for the applicable documentation. This happens in multidisciplinary teams. You solve design problems with your fellow specialists of other disciplines, the client and subcontractors. If necessary the design will be verified by performing structural and dynamic tests. For this, you are responsible for setting up test procedures and predictions in accordance with the testing plan as well as performing the tests on location. After concluding the test you make a detailed analyses of the test results and document these in a test report. Experience and Education Completed professional education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable qualification Some Master degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering 5 years of professional experience in a relevant industry Demonstrated knowledge of light weight composite structures and metal structures Experience with structural testing including simulation, prediction and correlation Deep knowledge of FEM analyses preferably with ABAQUS Knowledge of NASTRAN is desirable About ATG Europe ATG Europe prides itself in employing Europes brightest minds, and for the last 30 years we have been a key player in delivering highly educated personnel for RD and Engineering environments throughout Europe.
