Mesabi Nugget to remain idled until iron prices rise

Steel Dynamics, Inc. will continue to idle its Hoyt Lakes iron nugget operation until pig iron prices rise back above production costs, the company said in its first quarter report. The corporation reported adjusted first quarter 2015 net income of $40 million on net sales of $2.0 billion.
