Summary An opportunity for an experienced MicrowaveMmWave Technology and Equipment Engineer with experience of space systems to work onsite at ESTEC for Telespazio VEGA UK. Objective To support the Radio Frequency Equipment and Technology Section with expertise in microwave engineering in particular in the area of Active RF equipment and components. Responsibilities Duties Duties will include but are not limited to Contributing to the design, development and performance evaluation of RF technologies applicable to space and ground segments with particular emphasis on active RF equipment and components HPAs, LNAs, TR modules etc in MMIC and hybrid forms Providing expert technical support to projects and programmes Contributing to the generation of innovative ideas in the field of RF equipment and technologies and to the definition of ESA RD programmes Defining technical requirements and statements of work for the tasks to be performed by industry from early conceptual studies to full hardware development Contributing the to the developmentusage of section related laboratory facilities and analysissimulation tools Monitoring applicable scientific and technological trends and maintaining stateoftheart expertise by interacting with research institutes and applying the trends to the daytoday work Qualifications Experience University degree MSc minimum in microwave or RF electronics engineering. At least 4 years relevant industrial experience in RF equipment and technologies for space equipment. Several years working experience on Active RF Equipment and components. Essential Skills Good English language skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and effectively communicate quality system processes. Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
