We are looking for a Microwave Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Contribute to the design, development and performance evaluation of RF technologies applicable to space and ground segments, with particular emphasis on Time and Frequency equipment, components and technologies Atomic clocks, Master Oscillators, VCOs, TF transfer Provide expert technical support to projects and programmes Development, integration, configuration and running of RF test setups for evaluating the performance of RF subsystems for groundspace applications such as Atomic Clocks and Time and Frequency Test beds. ESTECs UTC facility Navigation payloads Linear and Nonlinear characterisation of subsystemsdevices. Lifetests TTC and Communication payloads. Development of software e.g. Lab View for automated testing, control and monitoring of RF performance. Contribute to the generation of innovative ideas in the field of RF equipment and technologies and to the definition of ESA RD programmes Define technical requirements and statements of work for the tasks to be performed by industry from early conceptual studies to full hardware development Contribute to the developmentusage of section related laboratory facilities and analysissimulation tools Maintain stateoftheart expertise by monitoring the technological trends and applying them in the daytoday tasks To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required University Masters degree in Microwave or RF Electronics Engineering. Good background on RF equipment and technologies for space application. Several years of working experience in the field of Time and Frequency equipment, components and technologies. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands.
