Job description For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are seeking an experienced Microwave RF Engineer to work at ESAs ESTEC site in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to the RF Equipment Technology Section within the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. The sections activities covering providing expert support to ESA projects on RF engineering topics and leading technology development activities in the RFmicrowave domain within ESAs RD programmes. Your tasks will be Contribute to the design, development and performance evaluation of RF technologies applicable to space and ground segments, with particular emphasis on RF passive equipment, components and technologies Filters, IMUXOMUX, ferrite devices, etc. Provide expert technical support to projects and programmes Contribute to the generation of innovative ideas in the field of RF equipment and technologies and to the definition of ESA RD programmes Define technical requirements and statements of work for the tasks to be performed by industry from early conceptual studies to full hardware development Contribute to the developmentusage of the Sections related laboratory facilities and analysissimulation tools Maintain stateoftheart expertise by monitoring the technological trends and applying them in the daytoday tasks. This is a full time position located at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The requested start of work is November 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate will have A Masters level degree in Microwave or RF Electronics Engineering. A good background on RF equipment and technologies for space application and a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience. Several years of working experience on passive RF equipment, components, and technologies. Familiarity and competence with the associated RF analysis and simulation tools. Required soft skills Fluency in English, both in speech and writing, with excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills Ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities and projects simultaneously. Additional assets are Prior experience with RD activities with the field of RF systems would be an asset. Prior experience within ESA space programmes is an advantage. Familiarity with the applicable space standards ECSS series. Familiarity with industrial procurement processes SoW etc.. What can Terma Offer?
