Linking LAN and CAN, Midspan Bridge uses PoE technology to power equipment over CAT5e/6 structured cable system. Unit supports up to 8 complete access control doors consisting of IN and OUT readers, 2 electric strikes/magnetic locks, and door sensors. Each of 8 channels can deliver 13.5 W over distances up to 300 m. Included power management chipset supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, protecting against short circuits, reverse polarity, and connection of non-compliant equipment.
