2021-08-13 20:12:29| EmergingTextiles.com

Minimum wages have not been raised in 2021 in low-income countries due to the pandemic and whatever surging pressure from manufacturing workers. In China, by contrast, minimum wages have been significantly raised in a series of provinces, whereas Pakistan could experience a surge in its minimum wages. Our report displays minimum wages in low-cost apparel manufacturing countries in Asia, from January 2015 to July 2021, in local currency and US$ terms. A 6-year comparison is available in local currency terms, 2015 US$ terms, and nominal US$ terms. Minimum wages in China are also displayed.
