The minimum wages are frozen in low-cost countries in Asia, reflecting the need for apparel exporters to protect their competitive advantage on a deeply disrupted global market. Minimum wages have even declined in most countries when converted in US$ terms, as reflected by our data series. Our report displays minimum wages in low-cost apparel manufacturing countries in Asia, from January 2015 to September 2020, in local currency and US$ terms.
