Equipped with firmware v4.0, Simatic S7-1217C CPU offers processing speed of 0.08 µs per operation. Unit provides 125 KB memory capacity, 24 Vdc standard inputs and outputs, and line driver ports to drive stepping motor controls at frequency up to 1 MHz. Firmware v4.0 enables CPU to operate as Profinet iDevice in addition to Profinet controller. It also equips controller with real-time tracing functionality for application diagnostics and debugging, and provides formula and recipe management.
