RHEA is currently recruiting a MultiMission Software Librarian to support the development and maintenance of all current and future operational ground segments at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Maintaining and developing the asbuilt software build environments Building, packaging and distributing software releases and patches Supporting programmers with respect to software build and development strategies Supporting delivery of software externally developed its installation, configuration and testing Investigating anomalies, their documentation and classification follow up of the delivery of SW corrections Participating in technical meetings and formal reviews Analysing maintenance requirements and identification, procurement or implementation of the tools to fulfil them writing of maintenance procedures Interfacing with external contractors who are providing maintenance services for ground segment facilities Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Experience of SW development, configuration controlled software build environments, and experience in SW packaging, installation and configuration for the operation and maintenance of large, realtime Monitoring Control Data Processing systems Significant work experience in Unix and Unixlike Operating System environments and in Windows and Windows Serverbased environments Familiarity to the extent required by the performance of the above tasks, with networking, distributed applications, and TCPIP services Essential knowledge and experience in using UnixLinux command line tools Knowledge of Software build environments and tools e.g. autoconfautomake, make, ANT, Maven Knowledge of Source Code control systems, preferably Subversion, CVS or ClearCase Knowledge of Scripting languages e.g. Shell, Perl, TclTk, Python Experience of Change Management Knowledge of CC programming languages Knowledge of Java programming language The following skills would be highly desirable. Experience with various software packaging formats RPM, PKG, LPP... Knowledge of Basic UNIX System Administration Knowledge of Basic Windows System Administration Knowledge of database programming Sybase andor Oracle Knowledge of ECLIPSE or a similar IDE Knowledge of Formalised Software Testing Knowledge of MSAccess, Visual Basic programming Knowledge of FORTRAN programming Knowledge of Serena Dimensions CM Very good communication, presentation, and team working skills combined with the ability to perform under very high workloads Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and obtain a system overview High degree of autonomy and good analytical skills Ability to work effectively in English How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
