NPD Says U.S. Athletic-Footwear Sales Revenue Jumped 5% in 2012

Higher prices and strong demand for cross-training and basketball shoes led the athletic-footwear industry to report a nearly 5% jump in U.S. sales revenue in 2012, according to research firm NPD Group.
