No One Injured After Train, Pickup Collide In Union City

According to Union City police, at about 8:25 a.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving a train and a pickup just west of the intersection of S.W. 44th and U.S. 81. Officers learned that a white Chevrolet pick-up truck had crossed over the tracks just as a Union Pacific locomotive pulling a 107 car load was approaching from the north. The train impacted the truck just behind the passenger compartment, causing the vehicle to rotate westbound toward a ditch.
