Oil Producers Start Offshore Evacuations in Gulf of Mexico as Storm Threatens

BP and BHP began evacuating non-essential personnel from their offshore oil and gas platforms in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the companies said. BHP also plans to shut production at its facilities by Oct. 7.
