Due to a formatting error, the Ontario government failed to collect the correct amount of tax on a number of used-car transactions in May. Finance Minister Charles Sousa called the error an "isolated incident." CBC News received a tip that something went wrong with sales tax collection on used cars for four weeks in May Officials with the Ministry of Finance confirm that a computer formatting error meant some 6,500 used-car buyers were charged too little sales tax.
