HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for an Optical AIT Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Optical AIT Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you take over within your own field of responsibility the development and execution of optical and or mechanical Integration and Alignment campaigns on large space project related to earth observation. You will have the following responsibilities Development of concepts for the Integration, Alignment and testing of Optical systems and Instruments Preparation and execution of the integration and alignment of Optical systems, including detailing the activity setup and all necessary execution steps Preparation and execution of optical test, including preparation of procedures and necessary test scripts Definition and Specification of the OGSE in order to enable its procurement via subcontract Support of the project and system engineering teams throughout all project phases with regard to optical AIT aspects Coordination with other Engineering sectors involved in the project, such as Mechanics and Optics Departments Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Degree in relevant field such as Physics, Optical or Engineering Experience in defining and setting up alignment configurations in ISO 5 clean room Operational experience of optical measurement technologies Experience within optical measurements in an industrial environment, experience in leading optical test campaigns Experience within space projects Fluency in English is mandatory.
