For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for an Optical Engineer with a fixed term contract of two years. Tasks and Responsibilities As successful candidate you will be dedicated to perform analysis and test of optical properties of materials and components. In particular Straylight Analysis of Complex Optical Systems Definition of optical performance validation Perform Test in the Optical Lab on BRDF, Analysis of test results and Preparation of Test Reports Followon of technology development high precision optical components. Requirements As Key Person you should bring a Master Degree in Optical Engineering or Physics or equivalent qualification by experience and the following Minimum 4 years of direct experience in optical laboratories of testing of various types of optical components and instrumentation Good technical judgment and solid communications skills verbal and in writing are necessary Proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest for innovative Experience in precision optical measurements at system, subassembly and component level Good technical judgement and excellent verbal and written communication skills, in the English language Experience in space project work, and of operations in a cleanroom environment.
