RHEA is currently recruiting a PA Safety Engineer to support the MCO Maintenance in Operative Conditions and Ariane 5 exploitation programme at our clients premises in Paris, France. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme, as such being responsible for PA and Safety support for Ariane Operational Launch System OLS and Ground Segment GS Projects. Verify that the PAS requirements are taken into account by OLS and GS projects In support to OLS and GS Project managers, coordinates the CNESDLA PA support Review of contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the OLS and GS PAS projects arranging for the approval of PAS documents engaging ESA responsibility. Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors including NCR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items in order to assess performanceeffectiveness Verify that the PAS requirements are taken into account by OLS and GS projects In support to OLS and GS Project managers, coordinates the CNESDLA PA support. Review of contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the OLS and GS PAS projects arranging for the approval of PAS documents engaging ESA responsibility. Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors including NCR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items in order to assess performanceeffectiveness Participation in design, acceptance TRR, TRB and safety reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Representing ESA in the Boards established within the projects for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, MRB, Acceptance Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Reporting project PA status deviations from plan schedule of all of above to the project Management and the Ariane PA and Safety Manager. Organizing with the support of CNES Quality and Maintenance audits as necessary, Monitoring National Surveillance Organizations activities with the support of CNES In support to the LAUPA Qualification Monitoring function, reporting on Quality issues Anomalies, Waivers, Alerts giving confidence of their proper treatment at the different steps of the Launch preparation from Launcher BT and acceptance reviews up to the Flight Readiness Review RAL, checking in particular that the Configuration of the Launcher is under control and that any deviation is documented and justified, Monitoring and reporting on Critical items and Safety issues ground and flight open safety submission, Monitoring more generally the Launch Campaign Process and assessing the correct implementation of the Prime contractor and Launch Operator PA and Safety Plan plans, OLSGS PA and Safety Engineer shall organize its activity with the assistance of CNES Quality support taking into account data available from Local National Surveillance Organizations and ProductProcesses audits. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 5 years relevant experience in Product Assurance within the space domain Fluency in English and French Very good and broad knowledge of PA disciplines Familiarity with launchers and space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate tools would be an advantage Practical experience in applying ECSS standards andor Launch System Management Specifications Knowledge of dependability and safety principles and analysis is an advantage Be willing to operate in a team environment and to travel. Good interpersonal and communication skills combined with perseverance to achieve the set goals are an advantage. The contractor should be used to work independently and in a focused way against tight deadlines. The contractor should be comfortable working in an international team. Working languages at ESA are French and English, a good knowledge of one of the two languages is required and practical knowledge of the second one is required The following communication skills are required good interpersonal relationship good organization skills good oral and written skills ability to work in a diverse team environment.
