This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESTEC in Noordwijk in The Netherlands. PA and Safety Support Engineer 1511001 Job Description We are looking for an experienced Product Assurance and Safety Engineer to work for our customer ESA at their premises in the Netherlands. The selected engineer will join the Quality Assurance and Management Section and support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme. The main activities to be conducted by the engineer can be summarised as follows Establishing the PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the project, in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety policy Produce and implement plans, define inputs, outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, coordinate efforts of participants, and produce resulting consolidated inputs. Reviewing contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the project PAS programme Monitoring project PA status identify relevant PA issues, including NCR SPR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items. Participating in the Boards established within the project for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Guiding and monitoring the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements Monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities with quality assurance audits, mandatory and key inspection points, test witnessing and configuration inspections Defining the formal acceptance requirements and conducting the Acceptance Reviews of all contractual deliverable items PA for the verification, qualification, acceptance delivery activities Supporting the organisation management of the support from all PA disciplines Produce reports of review activities performed e.g. documents reviewed, checklists used, spot check performed and conclusionsrecommendations Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 10 years experience in product and quality assurance in the space domain Very good interpersonal skills, as well as good organization and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse and multinational team environment Desirable Skills and Experience Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 Work Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands Dates Application Deadline 05 February 2015 Start of Work 01 April 2015 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
