On behalf of the European Space Agency we are recruiting a Passive Component Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team in the Netherlands. Specific tasks to be performed Providing expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects and programmes regarding microwave, photonic or Si components throughout all project phases Participating in project reviews and evaluation of procurement proposals Contributing to the definition of technology development requirements and work plans for the Agencys technology programmes Defining, initiating and managing RD activities Supporting technology domainrelated standardisation activities ESCC, ECSS Initiating and monitoring laboratory activities including preparation of test plans and reviews of test reports Contributing to the dissemination of the results of the activities performed and the transfer of knowledge across the Agency General tasks to be performed Diverse range of support tasks are required to be carried out by the Contractor through the provision of an experienced expert professional as described below in nonexhaustive detail. This work package includes the provision of support to ESA staff from the Component Technology Section in the following domains Optoelectronics devices, Hybrids, RF and Microwave technologies, VLSI, Passive components, MNT, w.r.t. design, manufacturing and testing, standardisation and qualification. Production of reports, presentations and other pertinent documentation incl. web publications in English language. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Masters degree in Electronics Engineering or Physics or equivalent Four or more years of experience in EEE engineering, preferably for space application, in one or more of the domains active microwave, Silicon and photonics. Experience from general EEE support for Space projects. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries.
