ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation of the EGNOS System European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service, the European Satellite Based Augmentation System and supports the adoption of EGNOS to GPS and soon to GALILEO. The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safetyoflife services context such as public transportation. ESSP recruits a Performance Expert MF In the frame of the EGNOS Service Provision Contract, the Performance Expert ensures the monitoring and the analysis of EGNOS signal performances and manages the treatment of the Observation Reports for the Engineering team. For the activity of monitoring, analysing and reporting of Observation Reports, heshe will be responsible for Chairing Engineering Panel and acting on behalf of the Engineering team during the Observation Review Board, For all OR under the engineering team responsibility Monitoring the progress of the investigation phases of the OR in compliance with the decisions taken during the ORB, Deciding whether an OR must fall into the KPI regime, Complying with the KPIANO commitments. In the frame of the OR management, coordinating system analysis to be performed with the other members of the Engineering team, and providing system performance dossier Heshe will participate in Engineering Boards with the customer and the design agentas well as other specific meetings. For the EGNOS performances activity analysis, heshe will be responsible for The daily monitoring of the EGNOS signal performances, and particularly the characterization of new observed degradations The detection, analysis and monitoring of anomalies related to signal performance this includes in particular the detection and the notification of critical observations Carrying out the following performance engineering activities Development of indicators supporting the characterization of EGNOS performances, Improvement proposals of algorithms impacting the performance Management of technical studies in the area of SBAS performance Preparation and participation in the Performance Task Force in the frame of the Integrated Engineering Team , a working group composed of SBAS performance experts from the ESSP and the industry Provision of technical support to formal reviews of PEA andor PSS contracts on the EGNOS performance related aspects. Profile An Engineering degree or equivalent, An experience of at least 5 years on EGNOS system and in the SBASGNSS domain is required. Knowledge of SBAS systems performance monitoring tools Good knowledge of space or aeronautical systems operations in general Recognized for your high capability to work in a team, your spirit of initiative and synthesis skills and your ability to assume responsibilities An excellent level CEFR level C in English and French is a must.
