Pitkin County Landfill Expansion to Begin Late June

A $2 million expansion project to expand Pitkin County Landfill in Aspen, Colo. is set to begin in late June. The landfill will grow by 5 acres and 900,000 yards in capacity. Two demolition projects are expected to add to the trash in the landfill.
