We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer to support our customer in the United Kingdom. Platform Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a leading provider of satellite data communications services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for the daytoda monitoring of the design and integration of the spacecraft platform and will have the following responsibilities Daytoday liaison with prime contractor platform engineering staff Participation in design reviews and meetings Performassess tradeoffs of payload architecture and interfaces and platform operational requirements Review of platform system designs and interfaces, performance and reliability analyses and equipmentsubsystem specifications Agree platform test plan Review of prime contractor platform validation and test strategy Participate in platform testing Preparing engineering response to relevant RFDWs and NCRs Support operations activities including procedure review, database preparation, and during LEOP and inorbit operations Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience Experience in platform system engineering including geostationary communication platform system design and implementation Experience of module, subsystem, and equipment specification and requirements management Knowledge of the design, integration and testing issues associated with geostationary communication platforms Experience of working directly with prime contractors Systems engineering knowledge Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
