Airbus Defence and Space is a division of Airbus Group formed by combining the business activities of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military. It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Programme Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Guildford. You will be responsible for the management of the programme for the Development and future delivery of DMCiis Disaster Products under the lead of the DMCii Product Manager. The role consists of delivering of projects, products and developments to support the needs of the DMCii Product Manager. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Help to define the Product Strategy and Development Roadmap Delivery and management of projects on Disaster Management by collaborating with the relevant Industry Managers, Corporate Development, Operations, Key Customers, Key Partners and Channel Partners Developing and implementing new data processing and integration techniques as part of the product development and project delivery activities Support the Sales of the Product Be one of the Product Experts, promoting to internal stakeholders including direct knowledge of the go to market channel Contribute to the development of business cases new and business case reviews existing for the product, prioritising features and functionality focussing on key customer requirements and ROI. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Postgraduate degree in Remote Sensing Desired Prior Project delivery and Services development experience Strong knowledge experience within Earth Observation Working knowledge of the Earth Observation applications and services market would be beneficial Strong grasp of technical and operational aspects of Applications and Services used in the satellite industry Flexible able to work on wide range of business issues and projects simultaneously. Strong presentation and team working skills Good interpersonal skills, communication, customer service and writing skills Selfmotivated and adaptable to be able to work with minimal supervision.
