Project Manager Ref SES0819 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Ground Terrestrial Engineering Position Staff Published 20160527 Context SES Techcom Services is a Luxembourgbased subsidiary of SES. Leveraging on the technical expertise accumulated within the Group by operating satellites for more than 30 years, it provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis. Responsibilities As Project Manager of SES Techcom Services you will be involved or responsible for the attraction, successful management and closure of projects. The projects will be in the field of satellite andor ground engineering operations as well as satellite communication platforms. You are expected to work together with all divisions of the organisation. Throughout project lifecycles, you will interface both customers as well as suppliers. Experience Qualifications Have a university degree in RF, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent Have a minimum 5 years of working experience in owning complete project life cycles including conception, system engineering, budgeting, documenting, implementing, testing and commissioning with the associated continuous resource management of satellite ground control andor satellite based one and twoway telecommunications systems Experience in specifying, integrating and managing the procurement of Operations Support Systems OSS like MCs, NMSs, ticketing systems as well as accountingbilling systems would be considered a valuable asset Experience of programs with governmental and institutional customers as well as PMI certification would be considered as further assets Be able to integrate into andor lead crossfunctional project teams Have good communication and persuasion skills in both verbal and written Have an analytical sense, selfstarting qualities, coordination and priority setting abilities Proactive approach towards potential customers Be ready to support and preferably experience in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Be ready to travel for project management and implementation purposes Fluency in English any other language is considered an asset Experienced in the daily usage of engineering support tools, project management tools as well as office and communication software tools IBM Notes, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
