Help us maintain the calibration of our satellite based scatterometer instruments, and hence the quality and accuracy of our derived products, through the deployment, testing and maintenance of ground transponders EUMETSAT, the European meteorological satellite agency is looking to recruit a Radar Engineer. Bringing together the resources of 30 member states, we observe the atmosphere, ocean, and land surfaces from space using a system of satellites 365 days a year. Our data is vital for weather forecasts that help to protect lives and property, as well as monitoring the environment and our changing climate. We want you to come and join our engineering team helping to calibrate our onboard sensors for our future missions. With a university degree in a relevant discipline, we are looking for a radar systems engineer, ideally with experience of Cband ground transponders and hosting infrastructure. You will lead the testing of our ground transponders and help us to commission future projects. You will ensure the successful handover of equipment and services from development to operations. Helping to coordinate the team with your manager will be crucial, as well as having strong interpersonal skills and an ability to manage projects.
