Rail car smoldering for 2 weeks raises stink about township leader's business

A township leader said it's not his fault that his business for weeks has hosted a stinky freight car full of smoldering grain. Advance Newspapers reports that Alpine Township Trustee Ron Cordes is working with the fire department and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality on a solution to the odor, "but at this point I'm not sure what we can do," he said.
